Cyclical Breathing/ Double Inhale/ Psysiological Sigh
Known by many names, the Double Inhale techniques originates in yoga but has been repopularized recently by Andrew Huberman, a Stanford University Neuroscientist. It is characterized by an initial deeper inhale (about 3/4 of your lung capacity) followed by a second quick inhale to completely fill the lungs. This breath is held for a moment then fully exhaled, and the process repeated.
Triangle Breathing
Triangle breathing is performed in 3 sections, all lasting for 3 seconds. First, breathing for 3 seconds, hold for 3 seconds, then exhale for 3 seconds. This process is repeated while imagining your 3 part breathing techniques as making up the three sides of a triangle. Alternatively you can imagine a star!
